Black garlic is sweet and has a tangy garlic undertones. It has a tender, almost jelly-like texture with a melt-in-your-mouth consistency similar to a soft dried fruit. Almost like a black liquorish candy taste.
The black garlic is made through a fermentation process that has a duration of about a month or so and carefully monitored and picked for best quality.
Has a pretty good couple of months shelf life if stored in cooled dark room temperature area. Can be refrigerated in bottom shelf to last a bit longer when stored prior to peeling. A few days in refrigerator after peeling.
